Bellydance Strip?

Well it seems I have been found by google when the words "Bellydance Strip" are used.

I find this amusing. However, belly dancers all over America are cringing. You must understand, the belly dance community has been trying for many, many years to make people realize that belly dancing is an art and not stripping. In fact, at my first class the instructor made it very clear to us that it is a sensuous dance and not stripping. It seems that in the past many strippers had taken the class looking for ideas. Belly dancers keep their clothes on.

Personally, I think stripping is an art form of it's own. Not one that I plan to pursue of course.

Why do people blog?

I was asked this question yesterday. I responded that they are the new personal home pages with the emphasis on writing and content. Since then I have done some surfing through blogs and realize that my initial answer is what I intend to use the blog for. Some people use their blog as their daily journal. Others use if as place to voice their political opinions whereas other use it to talk about the new baby. The possibilities are endless and are only limited by our imagination.

First Posting

To blog or not to blog. I have found myself quite inspired by my cousin Amanda and her postings. At the same time I don't know if I have it in me to share my innermost thoughs on the world wide web. I do like the idea of a digital diary. I have never kept a diary or even much of a journal until recently. Mostly due to my really awful handwritting of course. But mostly due to just not having either the time or inclination. Regardless, this is my first post and I look forward to exploring this new way of expressing myself....
